Mew ゲーフリ — 2016 Japan Virtual Console Event | HOME

Japan's Game Freak Mew was distributed from 19 March to 8 May 2016 to players using the exchange ticket included with the special Pokémon Nintendo 2DS bundles. The ticket entitled its holder to a local trade into a Japanese Virtual Console game. Its original trainer is ゲーフリ and its Trainer ID is 22796.

What makes this event distinct?

The 2DS promotion included two separate Mew benefits: this exchange-ticket Mew for Virtual Console, and a serial-code Mew for XY/ORAS. This record covers the Virtual Console Pokémon only. It must not be substituted with the Generation 6 Cherish Ball gift.

Historical properties

The event's fixed OT, Trainer ID, non-shiny status and Virtual Console origin must be retained. Original full DVs do not make this an official shiny event. No shiny version, custom OT, 6IV spread, competitive EV training or Cherish Ball is offered as part of this historical identity.

Virtual Console and Pokémon HOME

The official route for this Virtual Console event is Poké Transporter to Pokémon Bank, then Pokémon HOME. It is a one-way transfer. This route applies to Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console games; it does not establish an official HOME route for original Game Boy cartridges. The transferred Pokémon cannot be returned to Red, Green, Blue or Yellow.

HOME storage does not mean compatibility with every Pokémon game. A transfer from Bank using a Moving Key requires HOME Premium. A HOME Friend Trade uses the mobile app and requires an eligible account. The specific method offered will be confirmed for the available specimen before this product is published.

Availability and specimen identity

Preparation draft — not available to order. Historical event identity and the software transfer route have been checked. PKTS availability, the specimen's Virtual Console origin and the working delivery method still need confirmation. This draft does not certify that a specimen was redeemed at the original event. If a reconstructed or cloned specimen is supplied, that category must be stated clearly before sale.
